About the Role As an Employment Support Worker, you’ll work across both supported employment settings (WSE) and community-based disability supports . Your days may include: In WSE (Supported Employment) Supporting people with disability to learn new tasks and workplace skills Providing hands-on guidance, encouragement and practical instruction Monitoring performance, workplace safety, team cohesion, quality and productivity Role‑modelling positive workplace behaviours In Community Supports (NDIS) Providing 1:1 support to participants with psychosocial disability, ADS, ABI and cognitive impairments Supporting participants in community settings to build independence, social skills and capacity Building strong, trusting relationships with participants and families Responding to varied support needs with flexibility and sound judgement This dual role is central to strengthening collaboration between NDIS services and WSE, reducing reliance on agency staff, and improving outcomes for participants across both programs. What You’ll Bring You are someone who thrives in dynamic environments and brings empathy, patience and initiative to your work. Essential Current Driver’s Licence and willingness to transport participants in your own vehicle Experience or strong interest in working with psychosocial disability, ADS, ABI or cognitive impairment Ability to work independently and as part of a team Comfortable supporting participants in both community and supported employment environments Flexible, adaptable, and confident working across programs and locations Ability to think on your feet, use good judgement and remain calm under pressure Life/practical skills that support hands-on learning Qualifications & Compliance Certificate III in Community Services (or equivalent experience) NDIS Worker Screening Check (essential) Working with Children Check (essential) Through their Eyes training certificate (or willingness to obtain) First Aid (desirable) Why UnitingSA?
