Reporting to the Site Manager, this hands-on role based in Toowong, involves maintaining and enhancing turf areas, implementing sustainable practices, delivering exceptional results and leading teams. Responsibilities Perform regular maintenance tasks such as mowing, line marking, irrigation, aerating, and topdressing to uphold the quality and playability of turf surfaces. Monitor turf health and proactively address issues such as pests, diseases, and compaction through appropriate cultural and chemical practices. Leading and guiding a team of grounds people and apprentices while on site Implement sustainable turf management practices, including water conservation strategies, and pest management techniques. Operate and maintain specialised turf equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and safety. Collaborate with the landscaping team to coordinate maintenance schedules, prioritise tasks, and deliver exceptional results. Communicate effectively with clients to understand their expectations, address concerns, and provide turf care recommendations. Knowledge of turfgrass species, growth habits, and maintenance requirements. Familiarity with turf care equipment and machinery, including mowers, aerators, and sprayers. Ongoing safety training programs and resources available.
