Position Title: Administration Assistant Health Information Services Classification: HS1 Salary per hour: $29.57 superannuation generous salary packaging options Employment Type: Fixed Term Contract Part-time 30 hours per fortnight until 4th May 2027 Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2021-2025 Role description The Health Information Services Department is seeking a motivated and organised individual to support the efficient management of medical records, customer service, and daily departmental operations. Duties will be performed in accordance with relevant legislation and Hospital policies and protocols. This position may require work on weekends and public holidays. Following the completion of relevant training, the successful applicant may be required to undertake some or all of the responsibilities listed below. Key Responsibilities Maintain the Patient Master Index accurately Prepare, file, sort, and maintain patient/client medical records, documents, and forms Retrieve medical records for authorised users within required timeframes Utilise and maintain the electronic medical record tracking system Receive and process requests for patient-related information in line with departmental protocols Perform patient admissions and discharges professionally and accurately Complete accurate and timely patient data entry in the Patient Management System, including admissions, discharges, theatre bookings, and record tracking Provide professional and courteous front desk services, including greeting clients and responding to enquiries Assist with clinical form design and modifications Distribute departmental mail Undertake general departmental duties as directed by the Team Leader or Manager About you Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Ability to manage workload and prioritise tasks Accurate keyboard skills Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications Culture and Benefits Dhelkaya Health is located on Dja Dja Wurrung country in regional Victoria.
