Hume Medical Centre is seeking a compassionate and motivated Registered Nurse to join our friendly and supportive team on a casual basis. This is a great opportunity for a nurse who enjoys working in a general practice environment and values flexibility while delivering high-quality patient care. About the Role: You will work alongside our experienced GPs, allied health professionals, and administrative staff to provide comprehensive primary health care services on an as-needed basis, including covering leave and peak periods. Key Responsibilities: Provide clinical support to GPs, including immunisations, wound care, ECGs, spirometry, and other procedures Conduct health assessments and assist with chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, heart health) Support recalls, reminders, and patient education Maintain accurate and timely patient records Participate in infection control, stock management, and quality improvement activities Requirements: Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Previous experience in general practice or primary health care (preferred but not essential) Excellent communication and teamwork skills Proficiency in medical software (e.g., Best Practice) desirable A caring and professional approach to patient care Flexibility and availability to work varying shifts What We Offer: Supportive and collaborative team environment Flexible, casual shifts to suit your availability Competitive hourly rate based on experience Opportunities for ongoing professional development If you’re passionate about patient-centered care and are looking for a flexible casual role within a growing practice that values teamwork and quality service, we’d love to hear from you.
