Position Overview The Aged or Disabled Carer provides direct personal care, household assistance, and emotional support to clients in home and community settings. The role focuses on assisting individuals with daily living activities, enhancing independence, and supporting overall wellbeing in accordance with individual care plans. Key Responsibilities Provide personal care assistance including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene support. Assist clients with mobility, transfers, and use of mobility aids. Support clients with daily living activities including meal preparation, feeding, and household tasks. Perform domestic duties such as cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a safe living environment. Provide companionship, emotional support, and social interaction to promote client wellbeing. Assist clients in accessing community activities, appointments, and social engagements. Support clients with shopping and other daily errands. Follow individualised care plans and report any changes in client condition to supervisors. Maintain accurate records of care provided and client progress. Work collaboratively with families, healthcare professionals, and support coordinators. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements and relevant care standards. What We Are Looking For Experience in disability support, community care, or similar roles. Minimum Requirements Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent OR At least 1 year of relevant work experience in a similar role Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices Current National Police Check and relevant clearances (as required) First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
