We're partnering with a national organisation at the forefront of environmental data, resource management, and digital mapping and they're looking for a hands-on GIS Manager with deep experience across ESRI Enterprise and ArcGIS platforms. This isn't a role for someone who just oversees the work you'll be in the map trenches , designing, building, and optimising GIS systems that drive smarter decision-making across field operations, forestry, and environmental management programs. What you'll be doing Lead and manage the organisations enterprise GIS environment (ESRI Enterprise / ArcGIS Online / Portal). Oversee data management, spatial analysis, and integration with business systems. Support operational teams with high-quality mapping, analytics, and spatial insights. Develop and maintain GIS applications, tools, and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders. Collaborate with field teams, environmental scientists, and IT to streamline spatial data capture and reporting. Provide technical leadership and mentor GIS analysts and spatial data specialists. What we're looking for Strong hands-on expertise in ESRI Enterprise and ArcGIS ecosystem (ArcGIS Server, Portal, Pro, Online). Proven experience in managing GIS environments and spatial databases (SQL Server, PostGIS, or similar). A strong understanding of spatial data integration, automation, and APIs (Python / ModelBuilder / FME desirable). Experience leading GIS strategy and governance while still being comfortable on the tools. Background in forestry, natural resource management, or environmental sectors highly desirable.
