About the role Our Facilities Coordinator is responsible for the effective operation, maintenance and compliance of their local campus. The role, under the direction of the Facilities Manager and working in collaboration with other campus stakeholders, ensures that campus facilities are safe, functional, well-maintained and appropriately equipped for staff and students. This is a newly created position based at our Melbourne Campus on Bourke Street, Melbourne. Key Responsibilities Campus Operations Lead day-to-day facilities management at their local campus, ensuring that all campus facilities and equipment, staff and learning spaces are clean, safe, functional and well-maintained. Serve as an on the ground point of contact for building managers, landlords, and contractors. Work with the Facilities Manager and other Facilities Coordinators to ensure consistent service standards and responsive issue resolution. Ensure their local campus complies with relevant building, fire, environmental and regulatory requirements. Under the direction of the Facilities Manager, coordinate procurement, delivery and installation of new and/or replacement furniture, fixtures and equipment. Contribute to the planning and delivery of campus openings, relocations, refurbishments, make-goods and infrastructure upgrades. Work Health and Safety (WHS) Implement safety management processes at their local campus aligned with WHS legislation and relevant safety standards and as part of a national WHS strategy. Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, emergency drills and ensure corrective actions are implemented. Fulfil and/or coordinate fire warden and first aid responsibilities, ensuring trained personnel and appropriate equipment are in place. In coordination with campus leadership and the Facilities Manager, lead and/or support incident investigations and ensure follow-up actions are completed. Provide WHS training, guidance, and resources to campus teams. Promote a proactive culture of safety, risk awareness and compliance across all campuses. Stakeholder Engagement Build strong working relationships with internal stakeholders, including Student Services, Academic (VET and HE), Finance and People & Culture. Communicate proactively with stakeholders, providing advice and updates on facilities issues, risks, best practice and upcoming projects. Education, experience and skills Qualification in relevant field Minimum 2 years' experience in facilities management Strong understanding of WHS legislation, building codes, and compliance requirements Experience within the education sector preferred Excellent people management skills with the ability to work with a variety of internal and external stakeholders Strong stakeholder engagement and communication abilities Proven ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems Proficiency in Microsoft Office365 Cross cultural awareness Why Join Us?
