Aurecon’s Infrastructure Advisory team is growing nationally, and we are seeking Senior Consultants to join our expanding, multidisciplinary team across Australia. This is a unique opportunity to work on complex, high ‑ impact infrastructure initiatives, partnering with public and private sector clients from early investment thinking through to delivery. What will you do? As a Senior Consultant in Infrastructure Advisory , you will support clients to translate identified needs into investment ‑ ready, delivery ‑ focused solutions . Working within integrated client teams, you will apply engineering judgement, structured analysis and advisory discipline to improve the maturity, consistency and evidence base of early ‑ stage project decisions. This role focuses on front ‑ end project shaping - including needs validation, options assessment, preferred option definition and planning ‑ level cost, risk and program inputs to strengthen investment confidence and enable smoother transition into delivery. You will work closely with planning, engineering and delivery teams across Aurecon to ensure that advisory insights are practical, grounded in technical reality, and aligned with long ‑ term operational and strategic outcomes for water clients. In this role, you will: Deliver early-stage advisory for water projects, shaping options, scopes and business case outcomes Integrate multidisciplinary inputs to produce clear, practical and decision-ready planning outputs Strengthen investment confidence through cost, program and risk inputs at planning stage Embed within client teams to support transparent decisions and seamless transition to delivery Contribute to proposals, client engagement and team collaboration across the water sector What can you bring to the team? Tertiary qualification in Engineering (or closely related technical discipline), complemented by postgraduate or demonstrated capability in business, economics, finance or planning. Experience in water/infrastructure within consulting, advisory or utility environments Strong early-stage project development experience (options, business cases, investment support) Understanding of utility drivers: growth, resilience, service, risk and sustainability Ability to translate technical, cost and risk inputs into clear advisory insights Strong communication skills across reports, workshops and stakeholders Collaborative mindset across multidisciplinary and client-facing teams Senior -level capability to lead small teams, workstreams or client engagements Ready to bring ideas to life?
