We’re looking for an experienced Casual Gatehouse Security Officer (Level 4) to join a busy TGE Logistics site , helping keep vehicles, people, and freight moving safely and efficiently. This is a fast-paced logistics environment where you’ll be the first point of contact at the gatehouse, playing a key role in site access, safety, and security. About the Role You’ll be working in a 24/7 gatehouse environment, supporting day-to-day operations and ensuring only authorised people and vehicles access the site. It’s a hands-on role where attention to detail, clear communication, and a strong safety mindset are essential. Key responsibilities include: Controlling site access and preventing unauthorised entry Conducting vehicle and bag inspections Completing accurate, real-time data entry into live national Excel spreadsheets (driver and vehicle information) Communicating frequently with TGE operations via two-way radio and phone systems Conducting site inductions for drivers and visitors as required Monitoring CCTV, access control, and electronic surveillance systems Operating access control systems (issuing cards, locking/unlocking doors, auditing access) Recording incidents, breaches, and safety concerns Assisting with on-the-job training of other officers Performing duties across Levels 1–3 when required (without deskilling) Work Environment – TGE Site Modern, fully heated and air-conditioned gatehouse High-risk logistics environment with continuous heavy vehicle movement Physically active role with frequent walking between gatehouse and driveways Breaks taken at post when practical (officers cannot leave post) Free, secure on-site parking Mandatory Requirements Current Security Licence – Cert II Current First Aid Certificate Ability to work independently and unsupervised Strong communication and interpersonal skills Physically fit and safety focused Driver’s Licence Benefits & Culture Professional, inclusive, and supportive work environment Ongoing training and career development opportunities Access to a modern Learning Management System (LMS) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) for employees and families Well-being programs covering mental, physical, and financial health Employee discounts at 400 retailers Australia-wide If you have experience in gatehouse security and thrive in a transport and logistics environment, we want to hear from you.
