About the Role As a Domestic Services Assistant, you’ll provide high-quality cleaning services across our health service in line with AS/NZ cleaning standards and infection control requirements. This role goes beyond routine cleaning — you’ll directly support patient safety by maintaining strict hygiene standards and contributing to our compliance with national quality frameworks. Reporting to the Domestic and Food Services Manager, you’ll be part of a supportive, team-focused environment where your work truly matters. What You’ll Be Doing Your responsibilities will include: General and detailed cleaning across clinical and non-clinical areas Infectious and isolation cleans in accordance with infection control protocols Window cleaning, wall washing and vent cleaning Vacuuming, mopping, sweeping and damp dusting Carpet shampooing Managing linen processes (ordering, removal of soiled linen, packing and restocking) Maintaining outside entrances and shared spaces Participating in audits and quality improvement activities Attending team meetings and contributing to a positive workplace culture You’ll also maintain a working knowledge of the National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards and Aged Care Quality Standards relevant to your role.
