KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Conduct geotechnical site investigations, including soil sampling, drilling supervision, and field testing Analyze soil, rock, and groundwater data to assess site conditions Prepare geotechnical reports with design recommendations for foundations, slopes, retaining structures, and earthworks Perform laboratory and field data interpretation using geotechnical software Collaborate with civil engineers, structural engineers, and project teams Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with geotechnical specifications Provide technical support during project planning, design, and execution phases Assess risks related to landslides, earthquakes, and ground instability Ensure compliance with local regulations, standards, and safety guidelines REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, or a related field years of relevant experience in geotechnical engineering Strong understanding of soil mechanics and foundation engineering principles Experience with geotechnical analysis and design software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio) Ability to interpret geotechnical data and prepare technical reports Knowledge of relevant codes and standards KEY SKILLS: Analytical and problem-solving skills Strong written and verbal communication Attention to detail Project management abilities Ability to work both independently and in teams LOCATION: The host company is located at Melbourne.
