About the Role: The Clinical Services Support role is responsible for supporting the design, development, and implementation of initiatives to strengthen Prison Services. This position plays a key role in assisting the Executive Director Prison Services, Director Clinical Services Prisons, and the Operations Managers for Ravenhall Correctional Centre and Public Prisons in developing and implementing systematic improvements to enhance forensic mental health services provided by the Prison Services directorate. Key Responsibilities: You will work within the Prison Services leadership team to ensure the forensic mental health services delivered are of a high quality, recovery oriented, and evidenced based. Provide high-level consultancy to leaders and teams, translating organisational needs into evidence informed, people-centred solutions that support capability, wellbeing and inclusion Lead the development and implementation of frameworks, programs and systems that enable safe, inclusive and high-performing workplaces. Partner across directorates to support integrated approaches to workforce development, organisational change and continuous improvement Apply data, insights and evidence to inform decision-making, evaluate impact and contribute to the refinement of organisational strategies and practices. About You: Relevant postgraduate qualification and extensive post registration experience in forensic mental health or a related clinical setting. Holds a relevant tertiary qualification (or equivalent experience) in criminology, health administration, project management, or a related field. (for non-clinical discipline) Experience in working within complex operating environments, ideally across health and/or corrections sectors. Demonstrates a strong commitment to mental health consumer recovery and contemporary forensic mental health practice. Possess strong written and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to develop high-quality reports, proposals, and effective stakeholder relationships. Proven leader with experience supporting change management and service development, able to work autonomously while contributing effectively within multidisciplinary and leadership teams, aligned with Forensicare’s values and objectives. Qualifications, knowledge, experience: This is multidisciplined opportunity and possession of a relevant tertiary qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate Board or Association as a Registered Nurse, Psychologist, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist and Non-Clinical Discipline. The qualifications required for each discipline are: Registered Nurse RPN5: Registered Psychiatric Nurse. Must have current unrestricted registration with AHPRA and a post-graduate qualification in mental health nursing or equivalent. Minimum of 8 years of post-qualification nursing experience, preferably recent experience in community or prisons mental health setting or a demonstration of significant and extensive experience working within a secondary/tertiary mental health service. Psychologist Grade 4: General registration with AHPRA Masters or Doctorate qualifications (Clinical, Forensic or Neuropsychology) Eligibility for (or enrolled in) an Area of Practice Endorsement (AoPE) in clinical psychology, clinical neuropsychology, and/or forensic psychology. Psychologists with Forensic AoPE alone will need to demonstrate the necessary education, training, and experience in clinical psychology needed to work in forensic mental health settings Social Worker Grade 4: Tertiary qualifications in Social Work coupled with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Minimum of 10 years’ experience (preferable) Occupational Therapist Grade 4: Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner’s Regulations Agency (AHPRA). Approved degree in Occupational Therapy and recognised for membership of OT Australia – Australian Association of Occupational Therapists.
