An exciting opportunity is available for a Senior Associate (or strong Associate ready to step up) to join a high-performing disputes team, working across a diverse mix of complex commercial, insolvency and financial services matters. The Role You will work under 2x highly awarded Partners and involved in a broad range of litigation and dispute resolution work, including: Commercial litigation, including contractual, sale of business and general business disputes Shareholder and partnership disputes Acting for insolvency practitioners (including receivers, liquidators, administrators and trustees) as well as secured and unsecured creditors in recovery, investigations and enforcement matters Claims involving breaches of directors’ duties (statutory and fiduciary) Advising lenders (including major banks, non-bank and private lenders) on financial services disputes, enforcement and insolvency matters Representing directors and officers in regulatory investigations and proceedings, including matters involving ASIC and other regulators Property-related disputes, including joint venture and development disputes Competition and consumer law disputes Complex fraud, asset tracing and recovery matters Alternative dispute resolution, including mediations and negotiations You will have the opportunity to take on a high level of responsibility, including managing your own matters, working closely with clients and contributing to strategic decision-making across files. The team offers exposure to high-quality, often large-scale disputes, with a strong focus on delivering practical and commercially sound outcomes. About You This role would suit a driven Senior Associate, or an Associate with 4 years’ PAE who is ready to take that next step, and enjoys working on technically interesting matters while building strong client relationships within a collaborative and well-regarded disputes team. You will bring experience in commercial litigation across a range of areas, along with a genuine interest in the mix of work outlined above.
