About the Position: The Retail Manager plays a key leadership role in driving the success of Jigs Irrigation Supplies by overseeing day-to-day store operations, managing inventory and staff, and implementing strategies to enhance sales and customer service. This position is essential for ensuring operational efficiency, maintaining high service standards, and supporting business growth in the competitive irrigation and landscaping retail sector within our Holden Hill location. Key Responsibilities: Analysing local market demand to determine optimal product mix, stock levels, and service standards for irrigation systems, instant turf, plants, and landscaping supplies. Developing and executing purchasing, pricing, and marketing strategies to promote Australian-made products and drive business growth. Overseeing in-store merchandising, local marketing, and customer engagement initiatives to enhance product visibility and sales. Providing expert advice to customers on irrigation systems, DIY solutions, turf, plants, and landscaping projects to ensure high levels of satisfaction. Managing inventory records, sales data, and financial reporting to maintain effective stock control and operational oversight. Monitoring budgets, sales performance, and costs to optimise profitability and efficiency. Leading staff through recruitment, training, rostering, and performance management to deliver outstanding customer service. Ensuring full compliance with WHS, fair trading, and all relevant Australian retail and workplace regulations. Coordinating store operations, supplier relations, irrigation installations, and consistent delivery of products and services. Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and develop staff.
