Mars Recruitment is partnering with a well-established financial services organisation that is seeking an experienced Collections & Recoveries Team Leader to join their team. About the Role Reporting to the Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Collections & Recoveries function, ensuring effective portfolio management while supporting and developing your team. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders and external customers to minimise risk, optimise recovery outcomes, and maintain a high standard of service. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage daily operations of a small Collections & Recoveries team Oversee portfolio performance, workload allocation, and case management Handle escalations and complex accounts within the portfolio Drive process improvements and identify operational efficiencies Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements Partner with internal teams (sales, legal, operations) and external stakeholders Support team development through coaching, feedback, and training About You Proven experience in Collections & Recoveries within banking, leasing, or financial services Previous people leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and develop a team Strong understanding of credit risk, collections processes, and compliance frameworks Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities Experience within vendor finance or asset finance - highly advantageous Tertiary qualifications in finance, commerce, or a related discipline How to apply If this sounds like the right next step for you, please submit your application via SEEK or email me directly for a confidential discussion: angela.stephan@marsrecruitment.com.au
