About the opportunity ASC is seeking experienced Nuclear Safety Engineers to support the early establishment of nuclear safety, security and safeguards for the SSN‑AUKUS sustainment program. Working within the Nuclear Oversight Team, you will play a key role in shaping nuclear arrangements, influencing design assurance, and supporting licensing and regulatory activities across shipyard facilities and operations. Appointments may be made at Specialist, Senior or Principal level depending on skills and experience. Responsibilities Deliver specialist nuclear safety, security and safeguards advice Support safety case development, safety assessments and design assurance Contribute to licensing, regulatory and compliance frameworks Review and challenge nuclear‑implicated systems, processes and artefacts Support development of nuclear governance, emergency response and operational controls Promote nuclear safety culture and mindset across the program About you You are a technically strong engineer who thrives in complex, evolving environments and is motivated by work of national significance.
