An exciting opportunity is now available for an Animal Services Attendant to join the team at Ourimbah Vet Hospital. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the health, comfort, and wellbeing of our weekend boarding animals. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining high standards of care, and has confidence handling animals in a professional environment. Key Responsibilities Cleaning and disinfecting kennels and animal housing areas Feeding, watering, and administering medication under veterinary guidance Conducting twice-daily welfare and health checks Providing enrichment activities and exercise for animals in care Monitoring behaviour and promptly reporting any signs of illness, injury, or distress Liaising with pet owners regarding any concerns or updates Following all safety, security, and reporting procedures Maintaining overall facility cleanliness, including laundry and organisation Occasionally transporting unwell animals to emergency veterinary clinics This is a physically active role, often performed outdoors and in varying conditions. Shifts occur outside of standard clinic hours and are split into morning and afternoon visits, including weekends and public holidays. You will be working independently and must be confident managing responsibilities on your own.
