The Opportunity: Frontline Leadership & Site Execution The Site Foreman is responsible for the successful on-site delivery of mechanical installations, focusing on piping systems and specialised industrial equipment. You will lead by example, maintaining site momentum and ensuring all work aligns with commercial objectives and APS values. The successful candidate will be working on an exciting project in Adelaide. The project the will be based out on site, working on a defence project in the western suburbs of Adelaide. Key Responsibilities: WHS Leadership: Providing frontline safety leadership, ensuring strict compliance with the Work Health and Safety Act, approved SWMS/JHAs, and permit-to-work systems. Installation Supervision: Overseeing the installation of press-fit piping systems, pumps, reels, gantries, tanks, and dust/fume extraction systems in accordance with IFC drawings and P&IDs. Quality & Commissioning: Enforcing the Project Quality Plan and ITPs. You will coordinate pressure testing (AS 4041), flushing, and flow testing to ensure system performance meets project specifications. Operational Coordination: Planning daily activities to maximize productivity, managing materials handling, and sequencing works with structural, electrical, and fire service contractors to avoid rework. National Mobility: Supporting project mobilization and peak demands across Australia, including interstate travel for commissioning phases or project recovery. Your Profile: Technical Mastery & Professionalism We are seeking a disciplined leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and possesses the "leadership maturity" to handle complex site dynamics. Qualifications & Experience: Proven experience in a supervisory or Foreman role within the mechanical, piping, or Trade services. Deep technical knowledge of piping codes (AS 4041), press-fit systems, and mechanical equipment installation. Strong competency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, isometrics, and specifications. Demonstrated experience in QA documentation, ITPs, and pressure testing procedures. Flexibility: A genuine willingness and availability to travel interstate to support projects as required. Must have Australian Citizenship Must be willing to obtain a Defence Clearance Attributes of Success: Proactive Problem Solver: Identifying constructability issues early and proposing workable solutions. Effective Communicator: Ability to lead toolbox talks and coordinate with various trades professionally and persuasively.
