About The Role Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the Wellbeing and Guidance services across Far North Queensland, ensuring the proactive and strategic implementation of the student learning and wellbeing framework and coordination of rapid responses to support schools. Manage and support Student Wellbeing and Guidance Services in the region including Principal Advisor, Mental Health, Guidance Officer Mental Health, Senior Guidance Officers, Senior Advisors Psychology, Senior Advisors Social Work and the Rapid Support Team. Lead strategies that foster high quality collaboration in the areas of mental health and wellbeing, family and student support, student protection and assisting students in achieving positive educational, developmental and lifelong learning outcomes. Champion inclusive education practices across the region and promote evidence-based approaches to student wellbeing. Initiate, develop, maintain and promote effective multiagency and multidisciplinary networks that coordinate a holistic response to complex educational issues. Monitor and report on program performance, data, and outcomes to inform regional planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement. Provide expert advice to regional leadership teams on student wellbeing supports Drive consistent implementation of departmental policy, frameworks, and best practice in student wellbeing.
