The role focuses on early intervention, collaborative case management and preventative whole-school practices that enhance attendance, behaviour, wellbeing and learning outcomes. This position is being offered in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.6FTE), 30 hours per fortnight. The Guidance Officer Will Work In Collaboration With Other School Leaders To Support staff to respond to complex student needs Embed preventative, evidence-based wellbeing practices Improve student attendance and participation Strengthen relationships across the school community. Other Key Roles Will Include Providing counselling, assessment and individualised student support to address wellbeing, behavioural and learning needs. Leading social and emotional intervention groups. Leading collaborative case management with staff, parents and external services to support student engagement and participation. Contributing to early intervention and prevention programs that build resilience, belonging and personal skills. Supporting whole-school engagement priorities including attendance, relational practices and inclusive learning environments. Assisting in developing and implementing individual support plans and behaviour support processes. Providing professional guidance to staff to strengthen inclusive and responsive classroom practices.
