Collections Officer – Non Grocery The Role This is an opportunity for an experienced Collections professional to play a critical role in protecting cash flow and strengthening customer relationships across Bega Group’s high‑value, high‑volume Non‑Grocery portfolio. As a Collections Officer, you’ll take ownership of end‑to‑end collections for your assigned accounts, balancing strong credit control with a customer‑first mindset. You’ll work in a fast‑paced environment where accuracy, judgement and prioritisation matter. Managing complex accounts, you’ll proactively reduce overdue balances, resolve invoice discrepancies, and keep the ledger performing within defined ageing targets. Your work will directly support working capital outcomes and enable the broader business to operate efficiently. This role goes well beyond transactional collections. You’ll collaborate closely with Sales, Customer Service and internal finance teams, using insights and data to guide collection strategies and resolve issues before they escalate. You’ll also contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, helping refine processes and drive better ways of working. Responsibilities Manage end‑to‑end collections for assigned Non‑Grocery customer accounts Maintain accounts receivable ageing within agreed targets, minimising overdue balances Perform detailed account reconciliations and resolve invoice and payment discrepancies Allocate and clear receipts accurately, including management of unallocated cash Apply sound credit judgment to manage complex and high‑value customer portfolios About you Must have experience in Credit & Collections in a high‑volume environment, with strong reconciliation skills and close attention to detail Confident using ERP systems (SAP highly regarded) and must have advanced Excel skills for analysis and reporting Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing workloads Professional and confident communicator who builds strong, collaborative stakeholder relationships Naturally curious with a strong desire to continuously improve processes and outcomes Bega Group Story Bega Group is home to many trusted and iconic food and beverage brands.
