Location: Sydney Contract Length: 24 months Work Arrangement: Hybrid Sector: Federal Government We Pay Weekly Job Details We are seeking an experienced and highly capable Solution Architect to provide technical leadership across the design and delivery of enterprise‑scale technology solutions. This role plays a critical part in ensuring that solution architectures align with organisational vision, enterprise architecture standards, and long‑term strategic objectives. You will work closely with business and technology stakeholders across multiple programs, contributing to major digital and cloud transformation initiatives in a complex and highly regulated environment. The Role As a Solution Architect, you will be accountable for the quality, consistency and integrity of solution architecture across projects and business initiatives. You will provide architecture leadership from concept through to delivery, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned to enterprise principles and government standards. Key Responsibilities Take accountability for solution design and architecture, ensuring adherence to enterprise architecture standards, vision and reference blueprints Provide architecture and design leadership to analysts, designers, developers, project teams and fellow architects Produce end‑to‑end solution architectures, integration designs and associated functional specifications Design solutions aligned to target reference architectures, technology principles and Australian Government architecture standards Scope and define overarching solution designs in collaboration with subject matter experts, project managers and other architects Develop architecture proposals, options papers and business cases Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs in a fast‑moving and evolving environment Ensure solutions meet current and future business needs, delivering secure, scalable, flexible and manageable outcomes Promote convergent architectural solutions that maximise reuse across internal and external service needs Contribute to the quality and consistency of solutions developed by other Solution Architects Assist with estimating resource, cost and capacity requirements for solution delivery Provide expert input into high‑priority production and deployment issues Contribute to architecture governance processes, including presenting solutions and options at Architecture Boards Support the ongoing operations and continuous improvement of the Solution Architecture practice, including BAU activities Maintain solution artifacts and architecture models in an enterprise architecture repository Knowledge and Technical Skills Proven experience designing end‑to‑end solution architectures aligned to enterprise target architectures and principles Experience developing architecture blueprints, reference models and technology roadmaps Strong leadership across application architecture and system integration domains Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following: APIs and system integration Digital experience and portal technologies Case management and workflow platforms Low‑code application platforms Digital identity and access management Strong proficiency in modern enterprise platforms, including: Boomi Dynamics 365 CRM .NET SharePoint Optimizely Databricks Azure and AWS in secured environments Experience delivering Digital Experience initiatives and platforms (DXP) - desirable Experience architecting solutions across multi‑cloud environments, including M365, Azure and AWS Familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies and Digital Transformation Agency (DTA) Digital Service Standards - desirable Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline Extensive experience in a senior Solution Architect role within large, complex environments TOGAF certification - highly desirable ArchiMate certification - desirable How to Apply Please provide a 5000 characters suitability statement covering job requirement.
