We are working with a Tier 1 mining company and are seeking a QA/QC Scientist for a 3 month assignment. Roster: Balcatta Location M-F Start: ASAP start Length: 3 months with potential to extend for the right person Hourly rate: $70.00 - $80.00 p/h Super depending on experience The Role: Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and traceability of laboratory data and materials. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers to maintain robust QA/QC standards across a range of experimental activities. Key Responsibilities: Maintain accurate laboratory data records using LIMS and internal systems Conduct QA/QC checks on experimental data, identifying discrepancies and inconsistencies Ensure traceability and integrity of samples, reagents, and materials Monitor compliance with QA/QC procedures, SOPs, and laboratory standards Assess analytical methods to ensure suitability across different sample matrices Collaborate with technical teams to support process and experimental outcomes Prepare and review analytical reports for internal stakeholders Contribute to continuous improvement of laboratory quality systems Experience: Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Science, or similar 1-3 years' experience in a laboratory QA/QC environment Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail Ability to evaluate experimental data and identify anomalies Experience working with LIMS or similar systems Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment Adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced setting Exposure to analytical techniques such as: XRD, XRF ICP-OES Ion Chromatography Autotitration If you are interested in the role and fit the criteria, please apply online today!
