Bricklayer – Lara , VIC Kogan People Solutions are working with a well-regarded bricklaying company known for their commitment to high quality brickwork, based in Lara. Operating across the Melbourne western metro area and on to Geelong, they leave an indelible mark of quality and excellence in every residential project they are involved in. To ensure ongoing success, our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced bricklayer to join their busy team. They are seeking a highly motivated individual who can demonstrate the care and attention to detail that this role requires. This role is full-time and ongoing with a salary in the range of $75k to $80k plus superannuation per annum. Location – Lara Vic (base, activities extend across western Melbourne and onto Geelong.) Tenure – full time, ongoing, Responsibilities of the job include: Technical Interpretation: Study and interpret site plans, drawings, and specifications to calculate material quantities and determine precise layout procedures. Structural Preparation: Level and seal foundations with damp-resistant materials to ensure the longevity of every build. Precision Masonry: Lay bricks, blocks, and pavers in straight, curved, or decorative patterns for structural walls and piers and similar built forms . Craftsmanship: Mix and apply mortar with precision, checking levels and plumb lines to ensure structural integrity and a clean, aesthetic finish . Detailing: Cut and shape masonry units using power saws and hand tools to fit complex designs or irregular spaces . Safety Leadership: Operate within WHS regulations, ensuring a safe site for yourself and your collaborators (landscapers, excavators, and supervisors). To be successfully considered, you: Possess relevant trade Certificate IV or agreed substitute. Have a minimum 1 (preferably more) years working experience in the field since you acquired your qualifications. Have competence and experience in handling masonry tools and materials. Possess appropriate cards and industry certificates. Excellent team skills, patience, and empathy. Have physical strength and stamina to work outdoors and handle heavy materials. Are prompt and reliable, with excellent time management skills. Are eager to secure a full-time salaried position ( so this role is not suitable for sub-contractors ) Possess a clear Driver’s License. You must have unrestricted full time Australian working rights to be considered.
