Reporting to the Import Supply Chain Manager, this full time role plays a key part in strengthening governance, sustainability, and compliance frameworks across a respected national organisation. The organisation is committed to ethical sourcing, modern slavery risk management, and industry leading FSC/PEFC Chain of Custody certification. This role directly contributes to its governance, compliance performance, and sustainability reputation. The Role As the National Sustainable Sourcing Co ordinator, you will oversee and improve several high priority compliance and sustainability programs including Illegal Logging Prohibition due diligence, FSC/PEFC Chain of Custody certification, and Modern Slavery governance. You will work closely with Import Supply Chain, Site Operations, Purchasing, Marketing, and Executive teams to ensure compliance systems are embedded, documentation is accurate, and the organisation remains audit ready. Key Responsibilities Illegal Logging Compliance-Manage national due diligence processes, maintain compliant supplier documentation, support purchasing/site teams, and produce accurate compliance reporting. Chain of Custody (FSC/PEFC) Certification- Lead national certification improvement, coordinate COC representatives, maintain consistent documentation, support audits, and ensure accurate marketing claims. Modern Slavery Due Diligence- Manage annual supplier assessments, maintain risk/action plans, and provide clear governance updates to senior leaders. Systems, Efficiency & Governance- Streamline compliance systems, maintain central registers and document control, and improve tools, templates, and scalable processes. Experience Experience in compliance, sustainability, governance, procurement, risk, or supply chain. Strong written communication skills and effective stakeholder engagement. High attention to detail with strong organisational capability. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and document management systems. Desirable Experience in the timber, building products, or regulated supply chain sectors. Knowledge of FSC/PEFC certification, illegal logging regulations, or modern slavery frameworks.
