Role Overview The Commercial Director is responsible for leading the commercial strategy across sales, marketing, brand, eCommerce and product innovation. This role sits at the centre of the business, ensuring the company’s growth strategy is executed through aligned commercial planning, disciplined execution and strong cross-functional leadership. Working closely with the Founder and senior leadership team, the Commercial Director translates FUNDAY’s vision into clear commercial priorities across retail, digital and brand channels across global markets. The role is accountable for delivering sustainable revenue growth, expanding retail distribution, building brand equity and ensuring the innovation pipeline supports long-term category leadership. This position requires a highly commercial and strategic operator who can balance big-picture thinking with operational delivery: aligning teams, driving accountability and ensuring that marketing, sales and product initiatives deliver measurable business outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Commercial Leadership & Business Impact - Lead FUNDAY’s commercial strategy across sales, marketing, product and eCommerce, ensuring alignment with business priorities and founder vision. Team Leadership & Culture - Further build and lead a high-performing commercial team driven by Fun, Collaboration, Entrepreneurship and Excellence. Brand, Marketing & Growth - Own and lead FUNDAY’s global brand and consumer growth strategy across brand, digital, eCom, trade marketing and partnerships. Sales Growth & Retail Expansion - Own and deliver revenue and margin growth across FUNDAY’s retail and wholesale channels – Grocery, Indies, Pharmacy, Costco, Distributors & Export (NZ, APAC, Middle East & US) Innovation & Product Strategy (NPD) - Lead the commercial and strategic direction of FUNDAY’s innovation pipeline, ensuring it is customer-first and insight-led, informed by category trends, consumer behaviour and global market developments.
