Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager, our ED nurses are often the first point of contact for patients seeking treatment, and enjoy the dynamic, constantly changing environment, rising to the various challenges. Delivering nursing services in ED’s is certainly a challenge but a highly rewarding role! The Emergency Department (ED) provides a service for people with illness or injury 24 hours a day 7 days a week. The ED treats approximately 11,000 people per year. It is a fast-paced and energetic environment and there are opportunities for staff to be involved in a variety of projects and learning opportunities. RN's in the department will become multi-skilled through exposure to a number of treatment models for various illness presentations.
