You ‘ll work in our Energy Sector Coverage team and be part of the global Energy Sector platform that provides financial solutions to the major players in the energy sector from its regional hubs in Amsterdam, London, Frankfurt, Brussels, New York, Houston, Sydney and Singapore. The key focus of the team is to further develop the Energy business in Australia and originate high value mandates across the Bank’s product offering (including project/structured finance, debt capital markets and financial markets). As the VP you’ll be expected to lead in origination/marketing efforts and execution across all sub-sectors depending on deal flow and resource availability. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop into a Deal Principal to guide transactions through the Banks’ commercial and Risk committees and to a large extent act on their own initiatives to develop and grow the Energy sector business in a manner consistent with the Bank’s values and risk appetite. What you’ll do Maintaining and developing senior level relationships with the key players in the Australian Energy market Identifying and monitoring market developments and opportunities in the Australian Energy sector. Origination, structuring, cross buy of other products and execution of financing opportunities Lead the negotiation of transaction documentation and execute financing deals. Manage the preparation of / prepare commercial and credit application packages and client reviews. Present proposals in commercial and credit committees to senior business and risk management. Assist in the syndication distribution process and maintain contact with other banks active in the market What were looking for Proven track record of working in a transaction setting with strong financial and credit analysis capabilities Ideally 5-7 years of relevant experience, preferably including energy or renewable sector Affinity for structured finance and the energy sector Strong financial modelling experience An ability to be proactive and take the lead on complex transactions with often tight timelines A highly motivated and entrepreneurial mindset and a pro-active and self-motivated disposition An ambitious and entrepreneurial mindset and a pro-active and self-motivated disposition What’s in it for you?
