About the Role The Scrum Master will be a pivotal, go-to person for the IDVerse development team. Your breadth of responsibilities includes owning all agile ceremonies, driving the team to meet self-imposed deadlines, and creating a governance framework that adds just enough structure to help, but not so much that it hinders. Based in Sydney, you’ll work with a team of project managers, product owners, and distributed tech teams to organise, problem-solve, and deliver exciting new features. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate sprints and run all agile ceremonies Coach team members in agile frameworks (Scrum, Lean Kanban) Facilitate internal communication and effective collaboration between Product Management, Engineering, DevOps, Quality Control, Customer Support, and Customer Success Work with product managers to manage backlogs and new requests Resolve conflicts and remove obstacles Help teams implement changes effectively Ensure deliverables meet quality standards at the end of each release Guide development teams to higher Scrum maturity Build rapport with the development team and be their go-to person Other Duties Skills Required: 5 years of demonstrable Scrum Master experience, leading two or more Scrum teams Effective written and verbal communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences Ability to recognise and adapt to change effectively Ability to work independently and in a team environment High level of enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and high self-motivation Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of individuals in a diverse community Solid JIRA, Confluence, and SharePoint experience Ability to travel to the North Sydney office on Wednesdays for in-person meetings and collaboration Qualifications Required: A bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience Company Culture Attributes: Kind and approachable Ability to work under pressure and remain highly organised Clear and fair communicator, both written and verbal Ability to build and nurture effective working relationships with team members Flexible and able to adapt to change Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills Proactive and positive attitude Accountabilities: Manage all phases of projects through the Product Development process Depending on scope and complexity, manage up to 20 simple to moderate projects per year Define key performance parameters and create regular variance reports to track progress Negotiate with Engineering Resource Managers for project resources Maintain compliance with corporate and public regulations Perform data analysis relevant to project tasks Request resources and review resource allocation for projects Schedule and facilitate project review meetings to provide status updates Escalate complex issues and decisions to senior-level PMO colleagues Maintain ownership of and accountability for the project schedule Communicate project status effectively, including schedule variances and risk mitigation options Identify and recommend improvements to existing processes and procedures Perform all other duties as assigned Work in a way that works for you We promote a healthy work/life balance across the organisation.
