Why You’ll Love Working with Us: Consistent 7:7 Even Time Roster Comfortable living in local camp accommodation with great facilities Flexible travel – DIDO or BIBO depending on the site location We reward you for being you – guaranteed pay increases and long service leave schemes Career growth, ongoing training and clear career pathways – we’re big on promoting from within Mateship that matters – a team culture where safety and support come first Wellbeing support – your loved ones can access EAP for support with career, managing finances, confidential counselling, etc. What You'll Do Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, you'll: Lead and execute blasting operations to achieve precision outcomes Support and guide your blast crew to lift performance and develop skills Maintain and ensure the reliability of all blasting equipment Keep accurate records and manage inventory effectively Identify and resolve technical issues before they impact production Uphold safety, environmental and regulatory standards at all times What You’ll Need Must-haves: Previous sand proven Shotfirer experience, ideally in the coal sector Statement of Attainment for blasting e.g. Support Shotfiring, S123, etc. Relevant licenses i.e. QLD Explosives Security Clearance Card (or willingness to obtain one if you've operated outside QLD) and a valid Shotfirer's license Sound knowledge of explosives and safe blasting procedures Standard 11 (or willingness to obtain) Strong leadership and team coordination experience A proactive, safety-first mindset with great communication Ability to pass all pre-employment checks (medical, D&A, background) About Us We’re a bespoke blasting provider in the Australian mining industry with the goal of making mining easier for our clients.
