Your role St John of God Subiaco Hospital is offering an excellent opportunity for motivated Registered Nurses looking to grow their clinical skills within a supportive and highly specialised environment. The hospital is seeking enthusiastic nurses eager to learn and further develop their capabilities in our Intensive Care and Coronary Care Unit. Our ICU, Ward 32, at SJOG Subiaco has 10 Intensive care/HDU and 10 Coronary care beds. Our medical and nursing team are highly trained and provide around the clock specialised care to our patients. Our medical team consists of highly trained intensivists, cardiologists, a registrar and Resident medical officers 24/7. The Coronary care unit has a Chest pain Service that triages and admits patients ensuring best quality cardiac care and follow-up. As a Registered Nurse, you will deliver high‑quality, safe, and effective patient care while gaining valuable experience in a dynamic and fast‑paced acute care setting. This role is offered on a casual basis. The Position: Deliver outstanding patient care in the Day Surgery Unit, ensuring patients are treated with dignity and respect. Work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to provide optimal outcomes for patients. Be a patient advocate, ensuring that their rights are upheld and their voices are heard. Promote a welcoming, compassionate environment for patients and their families. Demonstrate excellence in clinical practice, ensuring the highest standards of care are met. Assist in managing patient flow and provide pre and post-operative care. Respond effectively to unexpected events and rapidly changing clinical situations. Report and document any changes in patient condition to senior nurses or medical staff. You will hold current registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and bring sound knowledge of relevant acts, codes and professional standards. Strong written and verbal communication, well‑developed interpersonal skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential to success in this role.
