Working on the AIR6500 project, the Hardware Engineer will provide services including but not limited to: Contribute to the AIR6500 Hardware solution and interfaces in the architectural model to the AIR6500 solution Assess Hardware and non-functional related requirements, conduct product trades, define the sell-off approach Work with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and System Architects to establish hardware requirements and sizing for AIR6500 elements Contribute to the development of key AIR6500 technical documents and artefacts such as solution description, trade studies and definition of requirements Work with a broad set of stakeholders, across the Lockheed Martin Business and partners for the achievement of common goals Your responsibilities will include: Define AIR6500 solution accounting for electrical and signal interfaces to other key external projects in architecture model The Contribute to the development and conduct of Technical Reviews Assess electrical infrastructure related requirements (map to architecture product trades, sell off approach) Decompose and capture sub-system requirements within the Requirements management tool, DNG. Including traceability and verification methodology Develop Test Plans, Procedures and Test reports as required Conduct design activities, utilising tools such as Zuken for Interconnect diagrams and cable assemblies Engage with AIR6500 IPTs and Specialty Engineering groups to ensure common understanding of requirements and design considerations Perform Trade Studies to evaluate possible technical substitutions as required Develop AIR6500 deployable elements and ruggedized solutions for packaging hardware components Establish the product baseline, working with CM/DM team to manage the components, parts and assemblies within Configuration Management Tool Author technical documentation and develop Technical Data packs as required About you: Knowledge of packaging for ruggedized deployable land-based systems Excellent analysis skills with an ability to develop and evaluate alternatives to determine best value based on customer provided performance weighting Understanding of Model based Systems development and model-based Engineering principles Proficient in concept development Excellent verbal communication skills including both speaking and listening to the customer Familiarity with operational analysis and modelling and simulation Desirable Extensive knowledge of: Power Generation and Distribution Environmental Control Systems Electromechanical Control Systems Generation of Interconnect Diagrams and Cables assemblies using Zuken Model-based System engineering experience (Rhapsody experience) Requirement decomposition (DNG experience) An awareness of: Ground-based Sensors Ground based Effectors Infrastructure software technologies include virtualisation, multi-level security, cyber defence, network accreditation, information assurance, system management Infrastructure hardware technologies including computing (servers, clients, storage) network, cross domain solutions Agile Engineering Methodology Configuration Management principals and experience with configuration management tool EPDM Special Requirements: Applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian Defence Security Clearance and employment may be contingent on the provision of further personal information including citizenship to ensure compliance with international export control legislation and regulations.
