Sydney Ancillary Areas Permanent The focus of this position is Business Development and client account management; prospecting to clients to service their interest rate investment requirements of predominantly professional investors. These include asset managers, super funds, banks but also large ‘middle market’ investors such as councils, health funds, universities to promote a money market intermediary service. This role is a combination of dealing with existing investing clients as well as introducing new institutions to our client’s services. Seeking candidates with a proven track record dealing with institutional clients in interest rate products. The ideal applicant would come from a money market or debt markets sales or front office environment. This role involves regular prospecting and business development to new clients as well as managing an existing book of clients, so confidence on the phone and in person is paramount. Responsibilities; Service the interest rate investment requirements of predominantly professional investors. These include asset managers, super funds, banks but also large ‘middle market’ investors such as councils, health funds, universities etc. Deal in mostly short-term instruments such as Term Deposits and Negotiable Certificates of Deposit (NCDs) and fixed income securities with these institutions. There is also the possibility to build out activity in corporate CP. Being a small business the individual will be required to assist across a range of departments within the organization. This will also serve the purpose of training the individual in our processes and developing a broader understanding of the business Experience At least 3-8 years in a relevant Interest rates, MM, Fixed income sales or Account management style role. A proven track record dealing with institutional clients in interest rate products Degree qualified in economics, commerce or related field Knowledge of the economy and the relationship with interest rate markets and yield curve dynamics Proficient at Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint Previous dealing or client relationship management experience Salary will be variable depending on previous experience plus quarterly commission structure based on revenue generated.
