The Role Suitable applicants would work closely with teachers and specialist staff to support the implementation of personalised learning programs that respond to the strengths, interests and needs of individual students. Special Needs Education Assistants help implement targeted strategies and learning activities that support students to work towards their individual goals, build confidence and develop the skills needed to participate successfully in classroom learning. Through encouragement, guidance and consistent support, Education Assistants play an important role in helping students engage with learning at their level and reach their full potential. Education Assistants work closely with teachers to support planned learning experiences across the curriculum, including the use of digital technologies. You would assist with individual students, small group programs or targeted learning activities, helping students build confidence, independence and engagement in their learning. You would also contribute to the learning team by sharing observations and feedback about student progress and participating in discussions that support the ongoing refinement of learning and support strategies.
