With a growing portfolio of projects and ongoing demand for skilled trades, we are seeking a qualified Wall and Floor Tiler to join our team on a full-time basis. Job Title Wall and Floor Tiler Employment Type Full-Time Location 2A Farr Ave, North Perth, WA 6006 Salary This is a full-time position with an annual salary of AUD $77,000 - $85,000 plus superannuation, in line with industry standards. Key Responsibilities Examining plans, drawings and specifications to determine tiling layouts, measure and mark surfaces, and plan the sequence of work Preparing wall and floor surfaces by removing old tiles, grout and adhesive, filling holes and cracks, levelling surfaces and cleaning substrates Spreading adhesive onto prepared surfaces and setting tiles in position in accordance with plans and specifications Using tile-cutting tools (manual and electric) to cut and shape tiles to fit edges, corners and around objects such as fittings, fixtures and pipes Ensuring tiles are correctly aligned and spaced to achieve a high-quality and consistent finish Grouting tiles, cleaning and removing excess grout to complete the tiled surface Applying waterproofing and sealing systems to ensure durability and water resistance Installing wall and floor tiles across residential and commercial settings including kitchens, bathrooms, laundries and outdoor areas Inspecting completed work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications Repairing and replacing damaged or defective tiles where required Maintaining tools and equipment in safe working condition Following workplace health and safety procedures and site-specific requirements at all times Coordinating with supervisors and other trades to ensure timely and quality project completion Skills and Requirements AQF Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling (or related trade), including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV in a relevant trade is preferred. At least three (3) years of relevant work experience in wall and floor tiling if no relevant formal qualifications. Strong practical tiling skills, including installation of wall and floor tiles across a range of surfaces and settings Ability to accurately measure surfaces, prepare substrates and plan tiling layouts Experience cutting and fitting tiles around edges, corners, fittings and pipes Knowledge of adhesives, grouting, waterproofing and sealing methods and materials Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, tiling layouts and specifications Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship Good physical fitness and ability to perform sustained manual tasks Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices How to Apply Please send your resume and relevant documents to justileperth3@gmail.com Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
