Business Overview Our Clients & Strategy team covers Business Development, Investor Relations, External Relations, Sustainable Investment and Brand, Marketing & Communications, including Internal Communications. It is responsible for all communications to investor prospects, existing investors and their asset consultants, as well as a broad range of other stakeholders, including governments and media. The Role The Director, Strategic Communications, will report to the Executive Director, Public Affairs. An exceptional leader, you will play an important role in achieving outcomes across these functions, working collaboratively across the team and with other internal and external stakeholders. Activities critical to this role include: Responsibility for developing strategic communications frameworks, narrative structures and global strategy development aligned to the strategic objectives of the global external relations team. Integrated strategic communications planning that supports organisational priorities across corporate, internal and external audiences. Collaborate/commission research to support communications planning and message development. Provide strategic counsel to senior leaders on communications, reputation and stakeholder engagement. Work collaboratively with shareholders, investors, industry bodies and advocacy organisations to help develop collective messaging to advance common interests Your Background and Experience Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic communications, including media / public relations, public affairs. Proven experience in strategic communications roles in investment management, asset management, financial services or other relevant sector experience, including in global organisations. Experience in crisis communications, reputation and issues management. Demonstrated experience in media relations, including established credentials with financial and investment media outlets/journalists and proven track record in securing positive coverage. Depth of corporate strategic communications experience including in strategy development and execution.
