The role is based within the water treatment plant at Darling Downs Power Station, a gas-fired combined cycle power plant built by Origin Energy and in operation since 2009. Job Details As a Water Treatment Trainee, you will be working within a small tight knit team where you will be mentored on a Monday to Friday roster from 7.30am to 3.30pm. Duties include but not limited to: Assisting with coordination of the site Hazardous Materials, SDS register, and dangerous goods register for the Power Station Assisting with the coordination of environmental monitoring and reporting Contributing to the preparation and implementation of planned and unplanned maintenance and operational activities Looking after the readiness of chemical stocks as well as daily and long-term chemistry control Assisting in the safe, cost-effective, and reliable performance and operation of Water Treatment Plant and Cycle Chemistry by reviewing and monitoring chemical control parameters, and optimising plant and process conditions Troubleshooting and diagnosis of production upsets and issues Assisting with plant operations in various forms Ensuring the care and preventative maintenance of the laboratory and field equipment is paramount In this traineeship, you will work towards the completion of a NWP30222 Certificate III in Water Industry Treatment over 2 years .
