Commencing in August 2026, This 12 month, full time, paid traineeship offers a unique blend of classroom learning at TAFE Regency Park and hands-on training through three 12-week, work placements with leading defence industry employers. Modelled on a "gap year" concept, perfect for people at all stages of their career, this traineeship will open your mind to gain practical experience and "try it all" across engineering, manufacturing, administration, IT, logistics, procurement, supply chain, project management and CAD - preparing you for a range of dynamic roles in both blue and white-collar environments. About the Traineeship Ideal for anyone considering a career in construction and maintenance of nuclear powered submarines, naval fleet and/or the defence industry. Enjoy a diverse curriculum which includes an introduction to: Manufacturing and engineering, administration, IT, Warehousing and logistics, procurement and supply chain, and technical & computer aided drawing (CAD). 12-month commitment with high potential for ongoing employment within defence industry upon successful completion. Gain work experience at a variety of defence industry companies located at various SA locations. Receive ongoing support and guidance from dedicated mentors, coaches, and educators throughout the traineeship. Be paid for the duration of the traineeship (includes annual leave, personal leave and superannuation). About you: You are punctual and can travel to work in your own vehicle or have other reliable transport. A drivers licence is required (P’s at a minimum,). Computer literate with a sound level of numeracy and literacy.
