About the role On behalf of our client, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Roof Plumber to install, maintain, and repair metal roofing, wall cladding, and rainwater products such as gutters and downpipes. The successful candidate will work across a variety of projects including metal roofing, cladding, flashings, and roof maintenance works on both commercial, industrial, and residential sites. The role requires working at heights and ensuring all work meets plumbing and building standards. Duties and Responsibilities Reading plans and working to specifications to determine the layout and materials required for roofing and drainage systems. Installation of metal roofing, wall cladding & flashings Constructing and installing roof drainage components, such as gutters, downpipes, and rainwater heads, ensuring correct fall and flow. Measuring and cutting materials to the correct size and shape using hand and power tools. Inspecting existing roofing and rainwater systems to identify leaks, damage, or areas of concern. Performing repairs to damaged sections of metal roofs, walls, gutters, and downpipes. Adhering to all workplace health and safety (WHS) regulations, including working safely at heights. Erecting and using safety equipment, such as scaffolding, edge protection, and safety harnesses, as required. Ensuring all work complies with relevant Australian Standards, building codes, and manufacturer specifications. Maintaining tools and equipment in a safe and operational condition. Liaising with builders, supervisors, and clients to ensure project requirements are met and work is completed on schedule. Maintaining high quality workmanship and site presentation Essential Skills In-depth knowledge of roofing materials, drainage systems, and installation techniques. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications. Proficiency in the use of specialised tools and equipment for roof plumbing. Strong commitment to workplace health and safety standards. Excellent physical fitness, with the ability to work at heights and in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills and a high level of attention to detail. Ability to work in a team and unsupervised Strong attention to detail and pride in your work Qualifications needed: Relevant AQF Certificate III in Roof Plumbing or equivalent qualification.
