The Care Governance Committee is a subcommittee of the Board. It supports the Board in overseeing safety, quality, safeguarding, lived experience integration, workforce capability and risk management across Richmind WA’s Services. We are currently seeking to appoint: One Independent Member with lived experience of mental health services These appointments will strengthen the Committee’s expertise and governance oversight. The Opportunity Independent Committee Members contribute at a governance level. This role does not involve operational management or direct service delivery. Members are expected to: Review committee papers and actively participate in discussion Provide independent expertise and constructive challenge Assist the Committee to identify systemic themes, emerging risks and improvement opportunities Support the Board in receiving strong assurance regarding care governance Appointments are made by the Board, and members are accountable to the Care Governance Committee Chair. Lived Experience Member We are seeking an individual who brings lived experience of mental health challenges and recovery, and who can contribute insight into how services impact consumers and families at a systems level. Experience in advisory, governance or representative roles will be highly regarded. Time Commitment The Committee meets approximately four times per year. Members are expected to review papers in advance and may be invited to participate in occasional briefings or working sessions. Appointments are for an initial term of [insert term, e.g., two years]. Remuneration An honorarium is payable for participation in Committee meetings, in line with Richmind’s governance remuneration framework.
