Open to Syd, Bris or Mel Leading Australian Bank Attractive remuneration on offer A leading government body is seeking an experienced Cyber Security Solution Designer to play a key role in the design and delivery of a government-wide Cyber Security Portal, developed as a shared service platform. Initially a 4-6 month contract highly likely to extend into the new financial year. This initiative will provide centralised, scalable, and secure cyber capabilities across multiple agencies, enhancing the overall security posture of the public sector. Responsibilities: Act as Technical Solution Owner, accountable for end‑to‑end solution integrity, delivery, and alignment to business objectives Lead requirements definition and solution design, including architecture, integrations, and key technical decisions (LLD) for a multi-tenant Cyber Security Portal. Oversee delivery execution across design, build, testing, and release, ensuring commitments are met to scope and timeframes Partner closely with Python/React development teams, translating requirements into Jira work items and providing ongoing technical guidance Ensure solutions align with government security frameworks, compliance requirements, and industry standards (e.g., Zero Trust, NIST, ISO 27001). Develop secure architecture designs, including identity, access management, threat detection, monitoring, and reporting capabilities. Key Skills / Experience Proven experience as a Cyber Solution Designer in enterprise IT environments.
