Description About the Role Restoring Families forms part of the Family Services platform of service response for Children and Families. Restoring Families is for children and young people and their families, experiencing multiple, complex needs, and who are at elevated risk of pervasive, lifelong harm to their safety, development, and wellbeing. Restoring Families is designed to provide children and families with multiple and complex needs with an intensive service response and a pathway into a sustainable network of support. As a Restoring Families Coordinator (RFC), you will provide a central point of contact for service access, coordination of targeted supports, as well as a mechanism for area level monitoring and reporting. The RFC is a family services stream-specific, information and data driven position. The position does not provide direct case practice or family support. The RFC will lead service coordination processes for Restoring Families which include; prioritising and triaging referrals, applying consistent, agreed prioritisation settings across all connection points convening and facilitating an interdisciplinary panel to support integrated planning and resolve access challenges across health, education, justice, family violence, disability, and other specialist services maintaining effective relationships with Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs), Child Protection, Youth Justice, Corrections, and other key partners to support transparent communication regarding service access and performance. You will work in concert with the Alliance facilitator in the Goulburn area to support area-based service coordination and system oversight across the family services platform. The RFC, while reporting to FamilyCare as the auspice, is accountable to the Goulburn Child and Family Services Alliance. To note - this position can be based at our Shepparton, Seymour or Wallan offices. Key responsibilities include: Use data driven tools to develop and coordinate prioritisation and authorisation processes across client connection points and service access, including visibility of service capacity and availability. Monitor and report on service capacity, demand pressures, case flow and services barriers, including capturing on risks and issues impacting on engagement and family goal progression, to inform operational and strategic insight and decision making. Work closely with the Child and Family Alliance Coordinator, and other area-based roles, to develop processes and report on local service oversight across the Family Services platform. Engage and facilitate meetings with service connectors across multiple service connection points, including but not limited to, Restoring Families providers, Child Protection navigator, ACCOs and Justice services. About You You will bring: Strong working knowledge of the Child and Family Services system, including the Family Preservation and Reunification Response and demonstrated knowledge of relevant policies and legislation. Demonstrated stakeholder engagement and management, including knowledge and relationships with key agencies in Goulburn. Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including facilitation, negotiation, and consultation. Demonstrated experience in project management and reporting and leading change with multiple stakeholders. Role Requirements Essential Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Community Development, or relevant discipline, with a minimum of three years relevant post qualification experience in the sector. Willingness to obtain a valid Working with Children Check and satisfactory National Police Check prior to commencing employment with us. If you have spent over 12 months overseas in the last 10 years, you will also be required to undergo an International Police Check or present evidence of a satisfactory check.
