What will you do? In this role, you will build genuine, culturally safe relationships with Indigenous participants, supporting them to overcome both vocational and non-vocational barriers and move toward meaningful employment. You will achieve success in this by: Building strong, respectful relationships with participants, recognising that trust is earned over time Providing tailored coaching and support that develops long-term capability, not just short-term outcomes Identifying and addressing barriers such as housing instability, justice involvement, health, and personal circumstances Navigate sensitive or challenging conversations while maintaining trust Understanding the unique needs, strengths, and aspirations of each participant Collaborating with community stakeholders and internal teams to provide holistic support Working closely with employers to create meaningful and sustainable employment opportunities Achieve sustainable employment through building capability with our participants Who are you? We are looking for someone who is highly relational, adaptable, and committed to making a genuine difference. You will bring skills and experience including: Proven ability to build trust with individuals who may be disengaged from services Experience working with people facing complex barriers (e.g. justice system involvement, trauma, housing instability, or long-term unemployment) Strong cultural awareness and/or experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples The ability to adapt your communication style to suit different individuals and cultural contexts Resilience, patience, and the ability to work in an environment where progress is not always linear Why this role matters This is not a purely administrative or transactional role.
