About the role Transitional Support Services supports young people aged 15 to 25 as they navigate some of the most challenging and defining moments of their lives. As a Mobile Youth Worker, you will walk beside young people who are in care or have recently left care. You will help them build stability, independence and a sense of hope for their future. This is an outreach-based role where you will spend most of your time in the community. You will meet young people where they feel safe and supported. You will help them strengthen their living skills, build confidence and connect with the people and resources that will carry them into adulthood. Every conversation and every moment of encouragement matters. You will be part of a small, passionate and supportive team that values connection, shared learning and genuine care. The program is funded until 31 January 2027 and you will play an important role in supporting young people through this period of transition. This is a full-time fixed term role until 31 January 2027. Full-time hours or part-time hours can be negotiated with the successful applicant. Pay is in accordance with SCHADS Level 4. How you will make an impact Provide case management and practical support to young people aged 15 to 25 Help young people secure and maintain safe and stable accommodation Support young people to build independent living skills including budgeting, cooking, household routines and community connection Assist young people to access education, training and employment opportunities Strengthen social and emotional support networks including family, culture and community Advocate for young people with government and non-government agencies Conduct outreach across the local region using a strengths-based and trauma informed approach Maintain accurate case notes, reports and records in line with TSA standards Identify risks and escalate concerns to management as required Build strong relationships with local services and community partners What you will bring Experience working with young people, ideally within youth work, case management or community services A strong understanding of the challenges faced by young people in or leaving care The ability to build trust, motivate and support young people through complex situations Confidence working independently in an outreach capacity Excellent communication, relationship building and advocacy skills A trauma informed, culturally safe and strengths-based approach Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities Relevant qualifications in social work, youth work, community services or a related field are highly regarded A current WA Driver’s Licence What we offer NFP salary packaging benefits up to $15,900 tax free and an additional $2,650 Entertainment Benefit Flexible working arrangements Employee Assistance Program with confidential counselling Financial, retail and lifestyle discounts Discounted health and fitness programs through Fitness Passport Up to 8 weeks of leave per year through our purchased leave scheme Generous parental leave of 12 weeks Up to 5 days paid leave per year to support a TSA program or activity A supportive, inclusive culture with passionate and dedicated team members The opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people How to apply If you are passionate about supporting young people and want to be part of a small, committed and purpose driven team, we would love to hear from you.
