With rapid growth comes opportunity. We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our team in our Sydney (Alexandria), Australia office! This is a full-time position with flexibility of working hybrid – 3 days in office, 2 days WFH. Responsibilities: Perform all aspects of the accounts receivable function including cash collections and cash applications. Act as liaison to resolve invoice issues with customers and other departments within the company. Support month-end close activities - prepare journals, own accounts and bank reconciliations. Perform all aspects of the accounts payable function including timely processing of vendor invoices and accounts reconciliation. Address inquiries from vendors and other departments within the company. Contribute to audit activities such as preparation of audit requirements and participation in physical inventory. Assist in maintaining customer and vendor ledgers in NAV. Perform monthly inventory reconciliation and analysis of provision for inventory obsolescence. Perform monthly reconciliation of intercompany receivables and payables and resolve discrepancies on a timely manner. Monitor and analyze freight-in, freight-out, customs/duties and GST. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Studying Accounting or a related field required. Minimum of two (2) years of proven experience in accounting required Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint) and ERP required. Skills/Abilities: Comfortable with interacting and working with all levels of customers, both internal and external; good interpersonal skills, good negotiating tactics, team motivation and outgoing personality Excellent adaptability in a fast-paced environment with the flexibility and willingness to take on new tasks and projects Ability to speak and write clearly and accurately Attention to detail and accuracy Effective listening skills Multi-tasking capabilities Must have in-depth analytical and problem-solving skills Must be able to use discretion and independent judgement Working Conditions: Is required to work normal office hours (with some flexibility as per the above) Monday through Friday Salary Range: $70,000 AUD - $80,000 AUD superannuation Why you’ll want to join our team: Teamwork as a core value .
