Casual opportunity available ASAP working rostered shifts as needed Located on the Camperdown Campus at the University Veterinary Teaching Hospital Sydney (UVTHS) HEO3 $49.94 per hour superannuation About the opportunity The University of Sydney is welcoming applications for a qualified Veterinary Nurse in Anaesthesia to provide nursing and technical assistance with clinical and emergency cases presented to the small animal hospital. Your key responsibilities will be to: administer anaesthesia under supervision general nursing duties, including husbandry, restocking, and cleaning, as well as assisting other departments when anaesthesia is not busy monitor patient vitals and provide pain management maintain anaesthesia equipment and document patient records provide post-operative care and assist with training veterinary students. As such, we see the importance of recruiting talent aligned with these values and are looking for a Veterinary Nurse in Anaesthesia who has: a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing (or equivalent) and/or advanced veterinary nursing experience in a small animal veterinary hospital emergency environment 2-3 years of experience working as a Veterinary Nurse in a clinic the eagerness to learn and upskill in anaesthesia the ability to work calmly and efficiently under pressure experience with advanced anaesthesia will be highly regarded.
