About the Opportunity ACCIONA Agua is seeking an experienced Senior Bid Manager to lead strategic bids and support long‑term growth across the Australian water market. This position can be based in Brisbane, Sydney or Melbourne and will require regular national travel to support tender activities and build strong client relationships. Reporting to senior leadership, you will lead the end‑to‑end bid process for major, high‑value opportunities, guiding multidisciplinary teams and shaping competitive proposals aligned to ACCIONA’s commitment to excellence and innovation. Client Engagement & Strategy Develop and refine client engagement and messaging strategies Build long‑term strategic relationships with key clients Anticipate future client needs through proactive market engagement Represent ACCIONA as a trusted advisor in industry forums Business Strategy & Project Selection Identify emerging markets and new sectors through analysis and assessment Support vertical integration strategies and whole‑of‑business approaches Contribute to long‑term business strategy based on market insights Bid Leadership Lead the full bid lifecycle from initiation through to submission Establish best‑practice bid management frameworks and tools Mentor and guide bid teams through complex tender processes Drive innovation in bid efficiency, quality and delivery Governance & Approvals Prepare governance documentation for complex bids Manage approval workflows and ensure governance compliance Liaise with executive stakeholders in Australia and Spain Commercial & Contractual Management Integrate commercial modelling and risk analysis into bid strategy Negotiate consultant and partner agreements Review tender documentation and contracts Develop financial deliverables, costings and cashflows Cross‑Functional Coordination Coordinate technical, engineering, operations, commissioning and risk teams Manage partner and third‑party deliverables Attend site visits and lead bid kick‑off meetings Oversee preparation of technical and commercial documentation Post‑Bid Activities Lead project defences and clarifications Capture lessons learned and drive continuous improvement Required Skills and Competencies Bachelor’s degree in , Engineering, Construction Management or a related field 12 years’ experience in bid management, tendering and/or project delivery Strong experience on major infrastructure and water sector projects ideally desalination and water treatment plants Demonstrated ability to lead complex bids and multidisciplinary teams Skills & Capabilities Exceptional stakeholder engagement and communication skills Strong commercial acumen and negotiation capability Ability to manage risk, quality and compliance on high‑value bids Strategic thinker with excellent planning and prioritisation skills Comfortable operating in complex, fast‑paced and evolving environments What we offer Engineers and professionals at ACCIONA work on complex, meaningful infrastructure.
