We are seeking a highly organised Business Support Officer to join our Infrastructure Services team based at our depot. This role supports the delivery of essential infrastructure maintenance and operational services by facilitating customer enquiries, coordinating service requests, and supporting procurement and records management activities to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient outcomes for the community. The Opportunity Reporting to the Group Leader Infrastructure Services, this role provides administrative, procurement, and coordination support to the Infrastructure Services team within a busy depot environment. The role is responsible for facilitating incoming maintenance enquiries and service requests within Infrastructure Services. Requests are to be accurately reviewed, actioned, or referred as appropriate. The role supports the coordination and tracking of maintenance and service requests, raises purchase orders, processes invoices, maintains accurate records and systems, and provides general administrative support to the team. The ideal candidate will have a Certificate III in Business Administration (or a related discipline) and recent experience in an administrative support role. Experience working in a busy administrative environment is essential, along with strong customer service skills. Experience in local government or a public sector environment is desirable but not essential. Proficiency in document and records management systems, a sound Microsoft Office skill set, and the ability to quickly learn new systems are also required. To succeed in the role, you will have strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines in a busy operational environment. You will be a confident communicator with the ability to work effectively with both internal staff and external customers. Strong organisational skills, adaptability and a proactive approach to supporting process improvements will be key to your success.
