Introduction About the Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, professional training and primary prevention initiatives. Description About The Role Specialist Family Violence Case Manager - Housing provides intensive housing support onsite to women and children who are residing in refuge, Transitional Housing Management (THM) and Crisis Accommodation Properties (CAP). Working as part of a dynamic team the Specialist Family Violence Case Manager - Housing has a focus on ensuring the safe and secure exit of women and children into affordable accommodation. The Specialist Family Violence Case Manager - Housing uses a strong understanding of the gendered and complex nature of family violence and evidence based risk factors to continuously asses a client’s risk and safety, while also addressing other support needs identified with the client. Key Selection Criteria Essential Qualifications and Experience Your application must address the following: A relevant graduate or post graduate qualification in psychology, social work or other relevant discipline. A minimum two years’ relevant experience. Essential Skills and Knowledge • A comprehensive understanding of the issues relating to family violence with a gendered feminist, structural, individual and family context. • Demonstrated experience and capabilities in assessment and risk management, crisis intervention and case management. • Sound knowledge of the effect and impact of interpersonal trauma on adults, young people, children and their non-offending families. • High level interpersonal skills and ability to work within an integrated, multi-disciplinary team. • Demonstrated ability to advocate, liaise and practice collaboratively across complex systems. • Demonstrated capacity to apply theoretical frameworks to practice. • Ability to manage complex and demanding work. • Ability to practice independently with a high degree of autonomy and to participate as a member of a team. Period of Appointment The position is Full Time -fixed term until June 2027 Hours of work Full time Salary and Conditions Annual salary range is as a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner classification, Level 6 Pay Point 1-3. Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills. Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement 2023. Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution. Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with the Superannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.
