About The Opportunity Programmed Group Services is seeking an experienced Injury Management Advisor to join our dedicated Workers’ Compensation team based at our Collins Square office in Melbourne. This is a hands-on, autonomous role suited to a seasoned IMA who thrives on managing complex workers’ compensation claims, influencing outcomes across multiple stakeholders, and delivering durable return-to-work results. You will take ownership of the end-to-end injury management lifecycle, working closely with injured workers, operational leaders across multiple sites, insurers, and medical providers. Unlike purely office-based roles, this position involves regular site visits and face-to-face engagement with treating practitioners, enabling early intervention and proactive injury management. Key Responsibilities Lead early intervention and end-to-end injury management for workers’ compensation claims, including complex and long-duration matters. Promote the goal of zero injuries through proactive recovery, prevention, and education practices. Develop, implement, and monitor individualised Return to Work Plans, ensuring alignment with legislative and organisational requirements. Maintain regular, meaningful, and compassionate contact with injured workers to support positive recovery outcomes. Proactively identify and address medical, psychosocial, and operational barriers to sustainable return to work. Partner with operational leaders to identify suitable duties and deliver practical, safe RTW outcomes across multiple sites. Liaise effectively with insurers, treating practitioners, rehabilitation providers, legal providers, and internal HSE teams to influence timely and durable outcomes. About You To be successful in this role, you will be a confident, outcomes-focused Injury Management Advisor with a strong track record across end-to-end workers’ compensation and injury management. You will also bring: Proven experience managing end-to-end workers’ compensation and injury management, including complex claims. Strong skills in negotiation, conflict resolution, and active listening. Proven ability to develop and manage Return to Work Plans, in line with Programmed’s injury management policies and procedures. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, with excellent time management and organizational skills. Completed accredited Vic Return to Work Coordinator (RTWC) course ( Desirable) Confidence in working with injured workers, medical providers, insurers, and legal professionals, as well as an understanding of business demands in RTW process. Industry experience in transport, logistics, construction, or manufacturing, with multi-site exposure.
